We are staying in Salem and traveling into Boston for a day to go to Cheers and to attend a Red Sox Game. Anyone live in either of these areas? How is the weather usually this time of year? What do you think about Salem? Any tips you could pass along about anything is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The weather will be nice around that time, probably mid 80's, but it can get a little cool at night, especially in Fenway Park, it has been really windy lately. If you're in Salem and the surrounding area, make sure to check out some of the seafood restaurants by the shore, and the Witch Museum. In Boston, check out the Freedom Trail, and Quincy Market Place. Have fun!

I lived in Salem all my life before I got married and I'm still only about a football field away. Someone already posted a link that should help you. The weather is fine -today will be around 80 and that's not unusual for this time of year. The weather will fluctuate between summer and early fall temps. I think Salem is great and you are hitting it at a nice time. Much of the summer tourism has quieted in preparation for the school year (though you do have to content with the sudden population of college students in both Salem and Boston). And in Salem it is still too soon for the chaotic Halloween season. I hope that helped you. Have fun!

The weather will be very unpredictable... it is New England. 90's one day 70's the next, 50's at night going into Sept. Wear layers.
Cheers is nothing special so don't be disappointed. Check out a good Irish Pub in Boston- The Black Rose is fun. Don't drive into Boston- find a "T" station on the outskirts and take the train to the Fenway or Lechmere stop. Parking and driving in Boston before a game is a nightmare and you will pay $20-40 to park.

Boston has a rich history and a diverse neighbourhood; it's a legacy of arts, tradition, and education; Boston has something for everyone therefore find what Boston may provide you with with hotelbye . The three-mile Freedom Trail leads you previous - and into - 16 of the city's primary ancient monuments and sites. It's easy to check out, by the distinct red bricks in the sidewalk and by footprints at block crossings. The trail may take you to Old Granary Burying Ground where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock are hidden; may take you to King's Chapel Burying Ground, the Boston's oldest cemetery; Old South Meeting House where in fact the calling speeches of patriots spawned the Boston Tea Party and the Old State House, Boston's oldest public making and your website of the Boston Massacre.
