The chicken pox vaccine is given in two doses, so if you get both doses, its supposedly good for life. The rubella vaccine is given with the combination Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccine also called the MMR vaccination. It's also given in two doses and supposedly good for a lifetime. A Smallpox vaccination was supposed to give good immunity for up to 10 years. It's no longer given to the public (since 1972). No vaccine is perfect so immunity can wane over years. There's no danger in getting either vaccine again or you could get a blood test to check for antibody titers.

I was vaccinated right before I went to school. I got it on my left arm and it itched but you couldn't scratch it. I remember they checked our arms later at school to see if we had the scar.

i dont know abt vaccination...but i very well remember having small pox itself!....my god...i was sick and yellow for a week !... lol ...but im afraid of chicken pox now...but my mom says...they have already vaccinated me for it...
