False Idol, return it to it's owner or get rid of it.
All statues and stuff like that are false idols
such as the bull on the stock market.

The Statue of Liberty transcends just being a gift from France. It is a symbol of liberty throughout the world, especially to the immigrants who came by boat and were greeted by her shining countenance shortly before being deloused on Ellis Island.

The reason we should keep it is because immigrants don't know or care that France created it; which really must get France's cheese-eating panties in a bunch.

It is a symbol of American opportunity and freedom. Regardless of who it is modeled on by the designer, that is the meaning it has come to have for us.
