Actually in addition and perhaps in place of looking for grants/scholarships you should research graduate assistantship opportunities. Many times you can find an assistantship that will cover all tuition costs and more. i.e. When I was getting my masters degree I interviewed for and received an assistantship as a hall director with the deparment of residence life. This assistantship paid 100% of my tuition expenses, a stipend of $4,000 (1987) and free room and board. In other words I was paid to earn my graduate degree for running a residence hall for the university...IMO this was a great source of funding. I had other classmates who were serving as research assistants, teaching assistants etcetera.

Information on assistantship opportunities whould be available from most graduate admission departments as well as the department to which you are considering applying.

It depends on your master's program. A grant for studying, say public health, is going to be different than a grant to study forensic entomology. You should probably talk to advisors in the master's program you want to do.

Fastweb.com is a good place to look for scholarships.

Like the above poster said, look into graduate assistantships. These also differ from program to program, but often, GAs assist a full-time professor in their research, and they may teach a lab for an undergraduate class. The GAs at my university often have free tuition, plus the possibility of fees being paid for, and a monthly stipend (at least $1000/month). Some just assist a professor, some also teach an undergraduate lab. In one department, the GAs teach an entire junior-level course.
