There are different types of psychology from personality psychology which focuses more on the situational influences of behavior than on individual differences between people. There is organizational psychology that does not focus specifically on behavior within organizations and there is social psychology which is closely related to all three other disciplines personality psychology, organizational psychology, and sociology.

Psychology differs from sociology in that it focuses on the behavior of individuals and small groups more than the behavior of large social systems and societies.
