I had a circuits teacher named Mike Murphy and he changed my life. When I went to engineering school I intended to design boats. Turns out I stank at it. I was in circuits because the class was required. Mike made it all sound so easy I thought it was a very basic intro course.

I was sitting in circuits class one day trying to think about how I was going to tell my parents that I was dropping out because I was a bad engineer when two girls in front of me whispered to each other "How does he expect us to learn this - it's so hard!". And suddenly I got it - I was a bad ocean engineer, but I was a good electrical engineer!

I did not drop out - I just switched majors. As I progressed in the curriculum I discovered Mike Murphy was the best teacher we had. If any of the others had been teaching my first circuits class it wouldn't have seemed so clear and I might have dropped out. My whole life would have been very different - I can't even imagine what I'd be doing today if I hadn't gotten my engineering degree.

I met my friends thought engineering, my husband, even discovered my hobbies through engineering. It was the foundation of my entire later life. Thanks Mike!

My second husband.

If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am today. He truly changed my life. He got me out of the slummy, drunk infested neighborhood that I lived in, bought me a brand new house, supported my dream of going to college (I am now starting my BA) and really helped me to stop throwing my life away. He really made me feel like I could stand on my own and really accomplish my goals, which weren't beliefs that I held in the past. There are so many wonderful things that he did and continues to do for me. Thank God for him!

My best friend. Until we met I was insecure and had
a very low opinion of myself. I was working customer service desk in a hardware store and she
was a customer. She always gave me compliments when-
ever she came in and we became friends. Then when
her marriage hit the rocks, I was there for her.
She is my logical half and I am her emotional half.
Together we are a whole person. She helped me to
like myself and believe in myself. Without her I
wouldn't be where I am today with friends and co-workers who care about me and like me.

My husband, he got me to speak up to my Dad. Before I met my husband my Dad and I did not have a good relationship. But because of my husband he was the one that influenced me to stand up to my Dad and tell him how I felt. My relationship with my father is getting better now and I thank my husband for it.

My ex-boyfriend I was with for almost 4 yrs. Before my recent ex. He showed me what love was like and what it felt like, he made me feel special and he made me feel incredible inside. He never lied to me, he never cheated on me, he never hit me, and he 100% loved me. He was my world and when he walked in a room where i was, I glowed and the room seemed brighter because he was in it. I never knew love like that existed, and I never wanted to marry anyone as much as my heart longed to marry him. His nick name was Moondog. And he changed my life because now I only look for the love he gave to me. The sparks, the magic, the purity of love. I hope and wish him the happiness that he showed me and that he shared with me and that he gave to me. I will never forget him, he is always on my mind and in my heart as my teacher and giver of love..... I hope you have a person who has changed your life in your life, for the better of good. Blessed Be.

My son. When I had him I to grow up and learn responsiblity and to think of someone other than myself. Even though I was a single mother at the time, it was the best thing to ever happen to me.
