Plastic surgery is not done with Saran Wrap. Plastic, as a word, means flexible. Plastic Surgery is the manipulation of your existing tissue, not the addition of Glad Sandwich Bags to your forehead.

Reminds me of the movie "Brazil." ;-)

Plastic surgery refers to altering the body, not literally plastic implants. There can be implanted materials with some procedures but the temperature a person could tolerate wouldn't bother them.

Erm......no, because it doesn't literally mean PLASTIC surgery.

Here is why it is called Plastic Surgery:

'The word "plastic" comes from the Greek word plastikos, meaning "to mold or shape."

Many of the first plastic surgeries were developed to close a difficult wound or replace tissue lost due to injury or cancer. These procedures often involved the formation of a skin flap to reshape or mold the defect so as to approximate the original shape.'

Hope this helps : )

there actually isn't all that much "plastic" used in plastic surgery. The materials that are used however will only melt at extremely high temperatures that we don't experience in a normal environment.

No, the weather would have to be extremely hot for this to happen. It doesn't get that hot.
