My husband and I just started a business transferring photos to DVD and putting them to music. How do I advertise this? We already have a website and have sent the link to everyone we know. How else could we advertise?

maybe get in touch with individuals such as wedding planners or people who do photos for senior pictures for high school kids. this sounds like something people would want to remember big events in their lives, so for example, a wedding planner may be able to get you in touch with someone who is getting married, and you could ask them if they would be interested in your product. be sure to be able to show them a good example!

Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google

A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:

1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites & articles relating to marketing, promotion & advertising. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

It seems like you're marketing locally, so don't concentrate on the web. Yes, a website is good to have for my answer below, but I think direct mail advertising is the way to go. Send postcards to the zip codes around your area. Visit this site:

http://postcardservices.com/

They will provide printing AND mailing services for as few as 100 cards to how many thousands you want. They even have mailing lists sorted by zip codes that you can rent. Make sure to include some sort of "call to action" in your ad such as "Visit our website and receive a special discount" or something to that effect.

Hi, perhaps you can try Google adwords to market your service/product.

Google adwords is a text-based system for advertising on its site and its partner sites. The service allows you to create your own ads, choose keywords to help match your ads to your audience, and control the cost of your advertising—you pay only when people click on your ad (a cost per click plan). Anyone wishing to promote a product on Google can enroll in this program.

you can get a 5 detail pages information about Google adwords at :

Good Luck && Best Wishes!

Go to local photo labs and camera shops and see if they would be willing to put some flyers on their counter. Make up flyers that give their customers an extra 10% off the normal price.
Go to wedding photographers and wedding planners and see if you could work out a deal with them too.
Also try fureral homes. I saw one of these done at a relatives funeral and it was nice.

Good luck.

The internet is by far the best forum to get your business "out there" now, I would look into buying maybe a small banner on top sites like google or yahoo...Look into it, im sure its possible.
Another way isto go to sites with forums, register for the forum and post adds in there.
