I wouldnt worry too much about a lil extra weight gain during pregnancy. It could be that you have a bit too much amniotic fluid. It could be your a lil further along than your doc thinks you are. I wouldnt jump on callin the doc just yet but I would suggest that at your next apt. bring it up and tell him exactly how you feel. Most overweight women will lose weight instead of gain during pregnancy but they still get that pregers belly. Good luck to you and your preciouse baby.

Your definitely not getting fatter yet, your probably just feeling bloated. That's how I felt around that time. And about the eating thing a lot of people think that since your pregnant your "eating for two" which has some truth to it. But your not supposed to overeat or go crazy with it, eat what you normally eat. Instead of eating 3 big meals try eating 6 small meals. That's what I do and Im 3 months pregnant. The doc told me that I should gain a pound a month for the first few months, then 2-3 pounds a month. So far I've only gained 2 pounds which is totally fine. Congrats & Good Luck with everything!

You DON'T want to cut back. You are going to bloat a lot more when you are pregnant, so that's probably what it is. As long as you eat a balanced diet and don't drink pop, you should be good. Look at it this way, you ARE going to gain weight. You should think that it is helping you to have a healthy baby. You can diet as much as you want after the baby is born.

I think the bloat in your stomach is normal. Instead of eating less, eat better. No fried food, no junk, like chips and stuff. Eat more fruit and veggies. Try and watch your carb intake and eat more protein and work out, go for walks, do some light cardio.... there are ways you can avoid gaining tons of weight while pregnant! It is hard to take off once it is on., but DO NOT starve yourself, you will hurt yourself and the baby...

Do not diet, but make really good food choices. Follow the american diabetic association's food guidelines for ideas. Try to stick to 2200 calories a day, avoid sugary sweets, and salty foods. Pregnancy has a lovely way of making us all feel fat. Keep walking too!

If this is your second baby, then you may show a lot sooner. If it is your first, are you drinking enough water? You may be retaining water. The best advice is to talk to your Doctor! Good Luck!
