I pray to God that we make it through the next 2 years without him screwing anything up more than he already has. But, I know that's not going to be possible. He's already initiated WWIII. I predict it will be full blown before he leaves office.

Where to begin. These were the business leaders who were supposed to be competent right? No one bothered to notice all of GWB's attempts at running anything had failed and daddy's pals had to bail him out. Whether it's Medicare drug benefits, billions in giveaways to big oil, Katrina, or the Middle East, it's beyond me to imagine a less competent gang of crony capitalists, who in my estimation are all just as clueless as Douglas Feith, the Iraq war planner whom Tommy Franks rightly called, "The stupidest ******* guy on the planet." Dick Cheney shooting a 70 year old lawyer he mistok for a quail is probably the quintessential illustration of this crew.
This weekend Bush said we will not leave Iraq as long as he's president. That means, true to form, he's leaving the mess he's made for someone else to clean up. He's just given the insurgents another recruiting tool. They can run that video of him saying, "We're not leaving as long as I'm president" to convince anyone who doubted it that the only way the occupation ends between now and January 2009 is to kill every American they can.
It's also clear that Bush wants to attack Iran, and that he will certainly do so without anyone's permission because he is king and needs no permission to do anything. Meanwhile, the supposedly pro-defense GOP which has run DC for six years has let the military fall into horrible disrepair that could have been fixed with the billions that have gone unaccounted for in Iraq.
I'm not sure what will be left of our country when Bush is through. But the day when the US had influence to accomplish anything through diplomacy is over. He has thrown our future away, and I am not sure who, if anyone, can get it back.

It will be easier to take if we have a democratic congress in the last two years. The last 6 years of having one party control both the legislative and executive branch's of government have been a disaster. We need to bring balance, accountability and oversight back to government. I disagree with the idea that that if Democrats take control of congress that there should immediately be hearings for impeachment. That would be a long, drawn out process that, I feel, will not be in the best interests of the country. Not to mention that it would leave Cheney in charge. Bush may find that a Democratic congress is easier to work with than Carl Rove says it is. It's better for the country if the two parties work together to defend against terrorist attacks and address the pressing domestic issues.

Yes I am happy. Finally a guy is brave enough to go after terrorism. Clinton did nothing. Look at the history. When Clinton was President, they were embassy bombings, the USS Cole, the first 9/11, and etc. When America was attacked, Bush went after the terrorists in a way they never expected. And since 9/11, there has not been another attack on US soil, and in fact, many attacks have been foiled. i.e. subway incident, the recent ones, the one several years ago involving LA, the guys in Miami, etc.
If any democrat was President, all of those attacks would have happened, I have no doubt of this.

How have you taken steps to change the course of things...have you written or emailed your congressmen? Have you any idea of to improve things? What would you do? Things that Bush did were forced on him (I am not a Bush supporter but I am a thinker)..if he had done nothing after 9-11, he would have been impeached as America demanded action against terrorism...he had to follow the course of action mandated by the people. It isn't Bush who is to blame but the general idea of America that we are supreme. The various administrations have supported corrupt regimes around the world and many of them came back to bite us on the ***...look at Saddam...just a petty billion or so dollars in tax-payers money...Noreiga, Batista, Ngo Dien Diem, and the list goes on...the people of the world are not blind and America generates both hatred and fear. North Korea is convinced that the US will attack, and feel the need to arm themselves and even issued booklets to its people to instruct them how to build bomb shelters and create hospitals and such underground. Clinton had made some progress in North Korea...but it fell apart. Because we try to dominate others. Why should the US dictate to other nations how to govern, brow-beat them into puppets and expect them to respect us...Is it all Bush's fault?

i,m just sorry that our next president won't be as active in dealing with terrorist like our president has. i,m afraid that when Bush is out we will start seeing more and more terrorist hit American shores. and then all you who hated Bush will be seeking another president like him,to take the fight to them and not let them bring it to us.Seems like everyone here who puts down our president now has forgotten what happened on 911 and how we ALL were ready to saddle up when that happened and kill anyone who wasn't an American. yet now that all is quiet, everyone wants Bush to drop his guard and send the troops home. Wrong Idea..wake up America, without a president like George W Bush terrorist will walk right into our schools, airports, businesses, and any place we gather and blow the Holy hell out of it.

From an outside view, your president has discredited your country by his actions during his terms in office, however, whether he remains in office or not, you should be considering more those who call the tune to which Mr Bush dances. If peace is ever to come to this world and adequate food available to all people, then countries such as yours, Great Britain and mine (Australia) need to lead by example, not rule by the gun.

I believe that Mr Bush has done the best that he could have done for this country. I'm not sure another president in that situation could have stepped up as firmly as he has and held the terrorists at bay both inside the country's borders and out. Good job Mr. President!

No I am not. He is not worried about the American people and I'm one of them. He left all those people stranded in NOLA! Then he waits 8 days to evacuate people from the middle of a war in Beruit. How rediculous that other countries are evacuating their people and he just sits there and eats a roll and swears on tv about it? Thats sad that all his priorities are screwed.
