my parent's friends have one - and their little dog clawed a small pinprick hole in one of the channels - so now that channel cannot inflate with air - it is flat while the rest of the mattress is numbered to where they want it. Seems to me if it's THAT easy to damage it wouldn't be worth it - and since their dog did it it's not covered under warranty!

Yes I have one. I have a back and a muscle problem. I have had the hardest time finding my sleep number byt my husband is very happy with it. My problem is that because my muscle mass can change more oftern that his I have to adjust the bed more often. If you get a bed if you have the money get the control that has the digital read out. We did not get this and I have to guess each time my kids changs the number. I have a sleep guess bed but it is a good sound bed/

I have a sleep number bed. I bought the most inexpensive one that they have and have never slept better. They are just an air mattress in a box, but it is so light weight, (easy to change sheets) I paid about $300.00 for mine and I love it!

i have been writing a number on the side of my matress with a magic marker and i just can't tell the difference from one day to the next. go figure.

My mom has one she loves it. I have a tempurpedic (sp?) and i love it. You sink in where it's cushioned but then stop to where it's supportive. My bf suffered from back pain but this bed helps stretch you out. My mom said the sleep # bed is similar.

No it's not. All it is, Is a air mattress stuck in a box for added support.
