According to many psychologists the manifestation of a religious beleif is to instill hope in members of society that otherwise have felt as though they were lost or without hope. The stories of biblical times are no different then the story of littloe red riding hood over the years it too has been polished up and translated loosing the original intent of being an educational childrens story used to keep children in line and safe. The bible is not very different but to say that science will become a religion is a misnomer, first of all there are not too many scientists that want to spend their times invested in developing a science sect that over teh years would become more powerful then the church as they would rather spend their time using their skills to solve scientific or medical issues an waste it. Those who feel spirtuality and religion are different are in need of reality checks themselves as to beleive in religion you have to beleive in your own spirituality and it must tie into the religion that you believe in. Yes and no. Both science and religion are based upon the same myth... that we exist as physical beings in a physical universe. Thus mankind has never understood God's words, and science began as a way of explaining what religion could not.
