It's military time. I had to learn it in french class back in high school AND so I could understand when my military friends started talking like that. The way you figure is out is that there are 24 hours in a day & every hour until noon is that same number & after that it progresses from 13 - 24. 4 pm would be 1600 hours for example...get it? I can't quite remember how you say it for the time between 12 - 1 am though.

that's militatry time for 1:10 pm just keep counting form 12 noon up to 2400 that 12midnight.
