I know all races can grow long hair. But people of african decent naturally have fragile hair. Then alot of AA women chemically process their hair making it even more fragile. So some african american women have a hard time growing their hair.
Im saying all of this because I know black women with naturally long hair who claim they get comments and stares from white women. They say they think white women are intimidated and sometimes jealous when they see a black woman with long hair. I dont think this is true because I have long hair (almost half way down my back) and I dont get too many responses. Ive had some people ask me (black and white) if my hair is real. And alot of people (of all races) comment on how beautiful they think it is. So I just want to know what do you guys about black women with long hair? (doesnt matter what race you are anyone can answer)

I think anyone can have long hairs, especially black women since they are very beautiful with it, but it's not because some can't do/have something that you're not allowed to do/have it yourself, and others should think the same way so they wouldn't stare or make comments on your hair because you have it. Maybe white women are only jealous because they find black women's hair more beautiful but even this isn't a reason since everyone is beautiful and shouldn't envy others on what they are or what they have. We are what we are and no one can change that.

I think long hair is very beautiful on anyone. (except really old women) I am white with black hair halfway down my back. I especially love to see black women with real, long hair. Some of the styles they wear their hair in look ridiculous and so fake. I just like natural hair. I always said if I was black, I would just let my hair grow into a huge afro. I think natural looks way better. I think the black women who say that white women are intimidated are actually just self-conscious and intimidated themselves.

The natural colour of hair during youth is black whether the skin complexion is fair or otherwise. So, a dark skinned woman will also have her hair black and will look equally youthful. so, there is no reason why people of other races will be detested at such a look. It is all in the psyche due to social reasons which has no justification so far as the reality is concerned. The beauty is in the mind of both the object the woman and the observer. What is natural is beautiful and not the artificial hair which is same as a wig!

That is the most ridiculous question. Why would a different race be jealous over another's hair?
I'm white, long hair, and I keep my hair hidden under either a wig or a snood for religious purposes.
Hair is supposed to be a woman's asset - a natural beauty, no matter how short, how long, what color, thin, thick, etc. In family purity and modesty, a married woman covers her hair so only her family can see her in the beautiful and natural state.
Anyway...I think all women's hair is beautiful...and natural.
My husband also thinks that women's hair is an asset of beauty. No matter what her race, color or religion.

I'm not shocked or jealous. Long hair is beautiful on everyone! I would think that the only intimidated or jealous women would be other AA women who can't grow long hair.

long hair on a black woman.I think its beautiful and its something that if every black woman had time money and patience could have it doesn't suprise me that some withe women get suprised or intimidated or jealous, black woman for century's were always noun for having short hare because it was difficult 2 handel but we grown in intelligence there for in image we learn how 2 deal with our hairs and now in my world that is something very common 2 see but for the withe woman that's one more thing telling them that we are just the same equal, hell lately they been growing Th same behind as the black woman would u think that was possible !

No,most of the time black women with long hair look really good, especially since it can take a long time to grow and hard work to manage because of their hair type, and any woman that takes time to make herself look good is a top woman in my books.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. I actually have short hair and guys just like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a guy with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look as well girly.

Hair, no matter the gender of the woman, that is well-kept and well-styled is always a beauty asset. White women aren't intimidated by hair :-)

If your hair is natural (we can tell when it's not) and shiny & long I think it looks great on any woman....

Most women are jealous of each other, regardless of color when it comes to hair - if your hair is naturally straight, than you want it curly & vice versa....

I just think that red coloring that I see most black women & teenage boys (always seems like just those 2) looks as stupid as parents that let their 5 year olds grow those rat tails...

But let's face it - you never see guys (straight) roaming through magazine saying I wish my hair looked like that. Women are constantly looking to change their hairstyles...

Thank God I'm bald!!!!
