If you are using Yahoo you may have in your spam guard Image blocker turned on.Check it and turn it off.

Many ISP blocks images to maintain your privacy therefore there is always a option either in the settings to turn on "view images" or there is a button called "view images" at the start of your mail where you can click and the images will be displayed

You should better use Yahoo!Pictures to display pictures in email.
If someone sended you a picture and you cannot see it then download it as an attachment!

if you r registered inrediff then click on view images or download images

move ur mouse over image area and lieft click and choose show image..
or simply transfer all ur mail attachements to ur yahoo briefcase..and lload them later..thru briefcase..
