I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Life insurance can be expensive and sometimes unaffordable.

The way to cancel your policy is stated in the terms and conditions of your life insurance policy.

Basically, you can stop paying the premium. Or, you can send the life insurance company written notice through the mail that you want to cancel your life insuranc epolicy and they should cancel it effective the date of your letter. That way you get the money pro-rated back that you have already paid for the policy.

I hope that helps and take care.

P.S. - You may want to take a look at quotes from Globe Life. They may be more affordable for you. You can request a quote here - http://www.term-life-online.com/globe-life-insurance.html

If you merely stop paying the premiums, the insurance policy will be voided.
