Does anyone know what happens in the end of that film (from the 70s, I think) where Clint plays a lone driver pursued by a scary lorry driver? Is the lorry driver a real person or a ghost or something and why was he following Clint and is there a happy ending? I must have fallen asleep while watching it 'cause I can't remember what happened!

seems I was wrong about it being Clint, it was Dennis Weaver! Thanks for that everyone but why was the lorry driver behaving the way he was?

hey dude, we never find out why the driver of the truck is trying to kill dennis weaver but i can tell you some film anorak facts about the film! it was speilbergs first film, it was made in 13 days and the noise the truck makes when it goes over the canyon was taken from an old dinosaur film and speilberg uses the same sound in jaws.

I think you'll find that the driver was Dennis Weaver.
Sounds like the Steven Speilberg film "Duel".
Seem to remember that the lorry went over a cliff.
Not sure.

That's not Clint, it's Dennis Weaver of 'Gentle Ben' fame in the lead role.
The truck goes of a cliff at the end i think.

The truck driver is a psychopath. They never show his face, but he's real, not a phantom. Dennis Weaver sends him over a huge cliff, tractor, trailer and all. Wa-hoo! This is one of Steven Spielberg's first movies. By the way, it's called "Duel."
