The word “interview” itself makes a person tense who needs to appear in the interview. It is normal human behaviour to become confused or get tensed but such things can be overcome with practice, learning from seniors and elders, thru own experience. At my time internet was not available. These days Internet is a rich source of information. U can learn many things about the interview by visiting the websites the links of which are given below. On some websites u will find questions also along with answers which are frequently asked and questions pertaining to ur requirement can also be found there. It will improve ur performance remarkably. If will infuse a high level of confidence in u. It will make u more frank and it will develop diplomatic qualities in u too. Overall, I would say that it will give an impetus to ur personality development.

Well some people are good team players and enjoy working on teams and some don't. It all depends on whether you do or don't .
However the benefits of working on teams is you get a wider perspective than just one way of looking at things. You have people to delegate the work to and hopefully they do the work. You have more people to help you come up with recommendations or ideas. You utilize the various skills of team members. Ever seen the teams on the Apprentice? Only show I know of where the good side of working in teams and the bad side of working in teams get showcased.
The downside of teams depending on the number is that dominant groups can form and if you're not part of the subteam that is dominant whatever expertise you have can get blown out of the water. Sometimes team work is busy work , the boss doesn't want to use the idea at all just wants to look like he's/she's efficient and up to date. Unless you're asked for the downside , don't mention this.

I found that teamwork and the ability to integrate in a team is number one if you want to impress potential employers (next step is leadership abilities); getting on with everyone; if it is a public service job your applying for it may be special emphasis on equal opportunities. Teamwork benefits are 1) motivation 2) social support 3) efficiency through ability to share tasks and specialize 4) multiple viewpoints that contribute to achieve a well-balanced solution. There are some conditions though; especially the quality/ technique of management the person applies who leads the team.
Anyways- good luck; use these answers and others and tailor them exactly according to person specification in the application pack

reply should go something like this : the benefits of team appeals no end to me for i am an honest and dedicated person proud of the fact that i have given this opportunity to sit in on an interview for a position that i would not have applied for if i had not felt that indeed team work was nothing less than a pre-requisite , i hope you will not fail me in believing that team work is the norm .

This is a question you will have to address throughout your entire career..so let me give you a fairly good reference. Your local library should have a copy of the "17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork" by John C. Maxwell. Maxwell provides some decent observations on teamwork dynamics (mostly from business, sports, and religion) that will provide you with valuable insight for this type of question. Suggest you read the book and craft your answer based on any example that resonates with your own leadership style. The lone ranger days are over, so your success will be measure (in part) by your ability to work and get results in a "team" driven environment.
Best wishes.

It's easier to achieve an objective as a group working as a team. Especially, if the team has an effective leader to motivate and suggest a strategy. However, you feel you are self - motivated enough to work alone when the situation or work warrants an individual creative approach.
In other words just talk bollox - it works every time.

God, how all this interview nonsense disgusts me.
I could not give a damn about the people I work with, in fact, I wish they were all dead.
I do not enjoy working in a team either. I would far rather be alone for most of the time.
Why do you want to work for us? The money, of course.
What do you think about - insert mind-numbingly boring business story - this and its effect on our profits? I am far more interested in what your secretary is wearing beneath her dress, to be quite honest.
I think they should organise a tournament of Scrabble amongst the applicants and whoever wins gets the job.

The benefits of team work are pulling together as one getting the work done correctly and accurately in a timely manner, also showing our organizational skills and knowing everyone contribute in getting the job done.

although i enjoy working on my own and problem solving is a strength, i understand that teamwork is necessary. sometimes a problem may occur ,which someone else in the team is able to sort out or make suggestions from experience, without wasting time looking for a solution.
efficiency in any work place is valuable, and i am keen to learn from others .
i know it is important to be able to communicate with anyone in a team, so that we are working in the same direction, towards the company's goals, and that it is not about self promotion.
