You could try Friends Reunited. You can search by name and the area of the country they live/used to live in.

you dont say which country he may be living in - if UK try Friends United - if you know a friendly cop he an get driving licence details or if he/she was ever in the forces might get a lead there - good luck

1- visit his old place, ask the people living there if he left an address, a phone number or anything.
2- ask his old neighbours.
3- ask old friends, maybe someone knows or heard something aout him.
4- ask the communication center if he has a phone number by his name.
