No I am young.
But yes you are right a few of old people become a bit soft as they passes through years.
But majority of them becomes even more hard.
Depends upon their past, and present.

Guys usually get softer in their old age, because of the loss of testosterone. Softness can be a lot of things like soft hearted, soft skinned, soft in the sense of being a pushover, etc.
Actually, as a woman, I feel like I have gotten a little more brittle in my mood (more testosterone). I am less of a pushover, but at the same time I don't seem to take most things as seriously as when I was younger. My skin is soft and flabby in spots. I seem to loose the benefits of exercise faster, so have to exercise more often. My hands are not as strong and it sometimes feels like the finger bones are not as securely attached, so that the bones slip out of place under stress. I guess that is softer.

Nope.

Though I could bounce back more when I was 18, I'm able to do more now at 34 than I could back then. Maybe it's experience or the ability to plan for the unexpected, or maybe it's just plain stubbornness, but right now there are things I KNOW I can do that I would have never even considered back then.

Besides, who says 34 is old?
