To get a full understanding, we have to go back a long time ago when the Israelis were expelled from 109 locations and the British mandate and Balfour declaration gave Israel a part of the Palestine land that was occupied by the British forces then.

The Israeli Zionists had their own agenda to attain their "promised land" - the land between the Al Forat & the Nile Rivers - and Israel began to invade parts of Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and more parts of Palestine.

In 1967 the UN passed resolution 242 calling for Israel to withdraw form the occupied Arab territories they have invaded & occupied during these wars and Israel has yet to comply.

During this time, Israel has been conducting ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians and is continuing to do so to this day as it is now doing to Lebanon as well. Have you heard of the Israeli Sabra & Shatila massacre in Lebanon or the Deir Yassin massacre in Palestine? Please read on:

Contrary to the Israeli & US government claims that Hezbollah started it by kidnapping 2 soldiers, the Israeli soldiers crossed into the Lebanese borders initiating the aggression. Hezbollah captured these soldiers on Lebanese land.
Lebanon is only a stepping-stone to reach Syria and Iran after Iraq has been totally destroyed and occupied by the US. (Israel was behind the Afghanistan / Iraqi wars).
This war was planned by the Israeli government for some time and both the US & Britain were aware of it.

Before the war started, Hezbollah offered to exchange the 2 captured soldiers for Lebanese prisoners in Israel, however Israel refused. Israel wanted war and wanted to disarm Hezbollah.

Again, contrary to the media, Hezbollah did not begin to send out their rockets into Israeli civilian areas until Israel had target hundreds of Lebanese civilians killing them. In fact Hezbollah has offered to spare civilian lives if Israel was ready to do the same.

Israel has been deliberately targeting civilians, conducting genocide against the Arabs, both Muslims & Christians.
Israel’s “claim” that Hezbollah is “hiding amongst civilians” is being falsified in the media by observers, the Red Cross & reporters in Lebanon. This is just a projection of Israeli’s own use of Palestinians as human shields as well as building weapon factories close to Palestinian residential / refugee areas.

If Israel is giving these civilians prior warning to bombing the area, why would Hezbollah remain there?

Finally, how can the civilians flee, when they are targeted in the “fleeing process and how and where would they go when there is nowhere to go because the roads and bridges have been destroyed?

Israel has been using banned weapons against the civilians causing them to burn. The pictures are grotesque.

Against the international community of a cease fire, the US gave Israel the time it needed to finish their job – which was to destroy the Lebanese infrastructure, murder civilians in the hope that the Lebanese people would blame Hezbollah and stand up against them – which has not happened.

After UN resolution 1701 passed calling for a cessation of hostilities between the 2 sides, Israel – again - has violated the resolution. Unfortunately it was expected due to Israel's history of non-compliance to UN resolutions.

Finally, this is the US / Israel alliance:
"We killed them out of a certain naive hubris. Believing with absolute certitude that now, with the White House, the Senate, and much of the American media in our hands, the lives of others do not count as much as our own..." —Ari Shavat. Reproduced in the New York Times, May 27th, 1999

"I want to tell you something very clear, don't worry about American pressure on Israel, we, the Jewish people control America, and the Americans know it." —Ariel Sharon to Shimon Peres, October 3rd, 2001, as reported on Kol Yisrael radio.

I just wonder how many of the people here know how much harm Israel has inflicted on the US? Did you hear of the false flag operations done by Israel against the US; harming and murdering US citizens trying to set up Arab countries in the process so that the US may start with these countries – Check the sources below: USS Liberty and the Lavon affair and others:

To conclude, I am not against the Jewish or Israeli people, they are as much a victim as the Arabs and Muslims. Both are paying for political greed.

The conflict started when the terrorist group Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. Israel just wanted them back. Hezbollah is not releasing the number of deaths on their side so you cannot say for sure how many have died in this conflict. As far as what is going to happen, Hezbollah hates Israel, so there will be more conflicts I'm sure. For the moment there is a UN sanctioned cease fire and as far as I have heard, both sides are abiding.

Many people in the Mid East are racists against Israel who like fighting. However, people are praying for Israel to win and for soilders who were kidknappedd (ex. Gilad Shalit) to still be alive and found soon so they will return to their homes alive. Another thing is that Hezbollah have thrown at least 300 rockets this month which is a problem.

The conflict started long a go. When Israel was formed. There will never be peace in the middle east as long as Israel exists

Iran planned this for better part of last 6 years. When all their ducks were in place, they kidnapped two soldiers to ignite the war. It was all pre-meditated.
WHat they gained out of it:
1, Distraction for 5 weeks from thier nuclear persuit.
2, Validation of Hizbollah -a terrorist outfit as a bonafied political organization.

Thisi is a watershed moment. This is the first time a Terrorist organization has been dealt with as a negotiating party by UN and other world governments.

Arabic Hizb Allah (“Party of God”), also spelled Hezbullah or Hizbullah militia group and political party that first emerged as a faction in Lebanon following the Israeli invasion of that country in 1982.

Shi'ite Muslims, traditionally the weakest religious group in Lebanon, first found their voice in the moderate, and largely secular, Amal movement. Following the Islamic Revolution in Shi'ite Iran in 1979 and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, a group of Lebanese Shi'ite clerics formed Hezbollah with the goal of driving Israel from Lebanon and establishing an Islamic state there. Based in the predominately Shi'ite areas of the Biqa' Valley, southern Lebanon, and southern Beirut, Hezbollah coordinated its efforts closely with Iran, from whom it acquired substantial logistical support, and drew its manpower largely from disaffected younger, more radical members of Amal. Throughout the 1980s Hezbollah engaged in increasingly sophisticated attacks against Israel and fought in Lebanon's civil war (1975–90), including repeatedly coming to blows with fellow Shi'ite Amal. During this time, Hezbollah allegedly engaged in terrorist attacks including kidnappings and car bombings, directed predominantly against Westerners, but also established a comprehensive social services network for its supporters.

Hezbollah was one of the few militia groups not disarmed by the Syrians at the end of the civil war, and they continued to fight a sustained guerrilla campaign against Israel in southern Lebanon until Israel's withdrawal in 2000. Hezbollah emerged as a leading political party in post-civil war Lebanon.
