It's interesting that someone commented on your spelling of Gandhiji's name--they obviously don't realize that the suffix is an honorific or title of respect. Both men were deserving of respect by their people, and both sacrificed so much for them. Gandhiji gave his life, Mandela gave his time (in prison). Both were men of peace, but Gandhiji was more insistent on peaceful methods of solving the problems of his land. Also, Gandhiji lived in South Africa for many years before returning home, whereas Mandela spent his time at home.

both had patience. both were lawyers. gandhiji worked step by step, nelson Mandela was more demanding. but the real difference is the opponent. essentially Indian situation and the one in south Africa were different. foreigners were unwanted in India while the south Africa situation needed their continued presence. i agree with the other answer - if u cant spell - u can at least improve.
