To me he looks like someone has made a model of Johnny Vaughn out of soft clay and then punched it in. Those beady little eyes and that stupid voice, he drives me up the wall but evrybody seems to think he's funny.....Why?

He's funny. I saw a few of his stand up comedy DVDs and before I watched them, I felt more or less the same as you. After seeing them and laughing pretty hard, I have to admit I think he is actually very amusing.
He is actually responsible for the most awkward christmas day ever, my grandparents were over and he was doing some sort of yearly music reveiw. Some Beyonce song came on and after it ended he spoke about about how 2005 was a really good year for her. He said he had never heard of her himself, but he is a lot more familiar with her since the first time he came across her in FHM.
He then stared into the camera for a few moments before continuing, but it showed the generation gap as me and my brother snickered and nobody else got the double entendre. They kept asking us what was so funny. It was at about 11am.

It's cause he has a cold hearted sence of humour and will take the piss out of anyone in the most horrible way he can think of and most of the general population still like to see people being humiliated.

He's very quick and has a very dry, sardonic wit. I personally think he's funny, and I don't really care what a comedian looks like if they make me laugh, but I can understand if his voice annoys you it would be hard to get past that to appreciate his humour.

It beats me, I never have found him amusing in anything. He's a second rated Jerry Lewis, that's who I think he's trying to impersonate, Jim Carr, not my cup of tea, wouldn't give him houseroom!

He delivers his punch lines really well. I think his comedy lies in the way that he punctuates his sentences! He speaks very well and he's very dead pan about uber controversial stuff!

i would love to really answer your question but i don't even know who jimmy Carr is..i have never ever even heard of him....but i guess he's not that popular cuz..i don't know him and i can name lots of ppl who don't either....

i wonder the same. i have tried to watch him but didnt find him funny. why he is as popular as he is i dont know. may be we'm missing something.
