The more appropriate question is how the the buildings stand up for so long after being hit by the airplanes.

When you consider the mass of the plane and fuel, and the incredible amount of fuel its a miracle that the towers stood for long enough to allow so many people to escape.

Conspiracy theories are funny as they all exclude mathematics, physics and all known science from their hypothesis. Since every engineering model has the buildings collapsing as they did that day the conspiracy theorists will need to come up with something better.

May I suggest opening your minds to the facts, thousands watched the events unfold, milliions more watched from home.

Not stupid practical people and of all the conspiracy theories this is the most unimaginative 'cos there is no backing to this theory.
The planes hitting the bldg. did not cause the buildings to fall it is the fuel that caused the fires which finally led to the weakening of the building structures and eventually falling.
Please open your mind and rethink the events, and do not believe every conspiracy theories that people come with, some are just fantastic and best left as theories only.
I hope people stop posting this particular topic again and again...... 'cos this is just a theory, lets pray for the people who died in this tragedy and for the people who lost someone on that day.

Whether you're doing so purposely or not, you're misconstruing what happened.
Planes DIDN'T knock the towers down; the fire from full loads of jet fuel spread over about eight stories DID.
Jet fuel burns incredibly hot. It burnt the skin of some people at the bottom of the towers just because it fell on them; it wasn't even burning!
So all that fuel catching fire, plus the structural damage done by the airliner piling into the building at 400-plus MPH, plus a long slow burn ... and it's no wonder the weight of the top floors would eventually begin pancaking the floors below.

Incidentally, there is a feature on Yahoo Answers that allows you to explain your question with a subhead ... you may want to consider that next time, as your question currently makes you look like a tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy nut.

I know how we can find out. Lets strap you in a plane and find a nice tall building over seas say like France and then we test out the theories

As stupid as believing a plane flying off course into Washington D.C. air space did not get intercepted by fighter jets when two plane already hit the twin towers that's how stupid.

We are stupid because we saw the planes actually hit the buildings! Watch National Geographic Channel this Sunday, it SHOULD put an end to this conspiracy idiocy caused by you liberal retards! I assume you believe that Bush had his explosives timed to go off after the planes hit.

TWO planes collided with the buildings. The damage and the subsequent fire weakened the structures to cause their collapse. Why is this so hard to believe?

And yet they did. Don't you hate it when reality gets in the way of your beliefs? Reality will not change, perhaps your beliefs should.
