According to my knowledge most website show Privacy policy and clearly mention how they keep track of visitor or member and what for they do that. But there is a website which did not mention on website their Privacy Ploicy or they do not inform their member that the webmaster is secretly keeping record of their all activities.
I wanted to know according to American law is it unfair practice or illegal?

Your reply will be helpful to understand law.

i vote 'legal' because there are very few things that can't be done when on line.....look at how many protocols are in place just to play/record/transfere music... and i'm talkin LEGAL music. even if they told you they don't do this stuff, how you gonna prove they are doing the opposite. pretty tuff from a technical aspect, never mind a legal one.
