The Earth's atmosphere mimics its shape. If the Earth was flat would we just have a dome-like atmosphere on the top habitable side or would there still be the circular atmosphere, as if the Earth was a thin disc suspended in the middle of a circle.
Agh, headache! I know what I mean!

Unfortunately your premise is wrong. The earth is made spherical by the very same force that meakes the atmosphere wrap around the earth: gravity!
Thus a disk shaped planet could not exist; it would only ever be spherical.

If earth is flat atmosphere is cylindrical.
