Used to watch it all the time.Who could forget Rusty and Jerome and then, just before the castle doors closed, the Friendly Giant would put all the chairs back in front of the fireplace.
Look waaaayyyy up!!

Yup.... and Chez Elen.... the French speaking program.... how about the Uncle Bobby Show with Cy Leonard and Happy....
Uncle Bobby is still up and kicking and lives at a cottage in Kirkland Lake if I'm not mistaken..... Cy told me in an e-mail letter he returned to me.
How about Captain Kangeroo!!! The Howdy Doody Show.... and the list goes on....
After this September, "Mr Dress Up" will only be available in CD form.... it's going off the air.

I loved the Friendly Giant. I remember him playing a bassoon. I would get teary at the end of the show when the drawbridge would go back up as the camera panned away from the castle. Good memories - thanks for bringing them back up.

Yes, I remember him. In the beginning he would be reaching down and arranging some tiny furniture, and he would often talk with a giraffe, I think, who stuck its head through a window near him. Do you remember Mr. Dressup too?

I remember him, his flute and the little rocking chair! I also remember Mr. Dress-up (with Casey and Finnigan) and Romper Room. And of course, don't forget Polka Roo!
