no it's not. liberals want it both ways when they say that. the truth is that libs hate the troops as much as the war. they undermine the war effort every step of the way and only get more of our troops killed by doing so.

This new trend of (support our troops) is a new mentality to apologize for the way troops were treated after coming back from Vietnam. During that era, anti war sentiments blamed the troops for the war which was so wrong.
In this current war, people are trying to make up for the past and to show their sympathy to the troops even though they do not agree with the war.
Yes i think you can support our troops and love them and still be against the war. Those great men and women did not start this war.

The shocking truth about the racist American crusade and the occupation of Iraq is known to everyone. The mascres in Haditha and Ishaqi are just the tip of the mass grave. The corpses we have glimpsed, the grainy footage of the cadavers and the dead children; are just a few of many thousands. The handiwork of the racist crusader America's army of the slums does go a lot further than that. Senior medical officials in the Baghdad mortuary, counting corpses, express their fears: "Everyone brings bodies here, but, when the Americans bring bodies in, we are instructed that under no circumstances are we ever to do post-mortems. We were given to understand that this had already been done. Sometimes we'd get a piece of paper like this one with a body." -a U.S. military document showing with the hand-drawn outline of a man's body and the words "trauma wounds."- What kind of trauma is now being experienced in Iraq? The Americans are the doing the mass killing and dumping the bodies on garbage heaps. After Haditha, people are going to reshape their suspicions. It's no good saying "a few bad apples." All racist crusaders are corrupted. They all commit war crimes. The Algerians are still uncovering the mass graves left by the French paras who liquidated whole villages. We know of the rapist-killers of the Russian army in Chechnya. We have all heard of Bloody Sunday. The Israelis sat and watched while their proxy Lebanese militia butchered and eviscerated its way through 1,700 Palestinians. And of course the words My Lai are now uttered again. Yes, the Nazis were not much worse.

hi Cinnamon. i imagine it may bypass something like this: a lot of human beings detest the conflict and having US adult adult males and women persons despatched for something they don't desire, although they're regularly supportive of the warriors who're doing what has been delegated for them to do. So at the same time as those who hate the conflict do not hate the warriors who went in any respect... basically the conflict they have been despatched to be targeted on. Our troops over in Iraq is a reality even with the undeniable fact that to some quite regretable, yet no longer many are for bashing the troops. that would not make experience. you do not throw out the child with the bathtub water. also pal, a rustic can not wrestle a conflict adversarial to the enemy without troops to shelter and wrestle the enemy. i imagine your pastor has a sturdy coronary heart, has his coronary heart in the right position, yet he can nevertheless be truly incorrect. no individual's perfect, even the pastors who God has given to shepherd us and look after us spiritually. God bless you, your household, and our troops serving. God bless united statesa.!

No, not at all, what it means is they support our troops, like they hope them the best, but they think that it is wrong that they got sent over there in the 1st place and that they shouldn't have to be risking their lives to line president Bushes pockets. I support our troops, I think this whole war is pointless, if we were truely going after the right guy, (Osahma Bin Ladin), instead of messing around in Iraq then I probally wouldn't be so against the war.

No Andy, that would be like me saying, I support the war, but I hope we lose. Our men and women in the army have little choice in their deployment or the cause. More and more are speaking out against the war. Some opt to go AWOL, some are silent until their contract is up.
A better analogy would be, I will help you study, but I don't agree with you studying "Hitler's Germany, the Perfect Progeny 101"

It's possible and even mandatory to educate the populace so that they can reach this point: support your troops, reject warfare. The army is a key element in the constitution of any state and a factor to inspire a healthy sense of patriotism. You can see countries with weak armies (i.e. Lebanon) and measure the degree of loyalty of its citizens. In Lebanon people owe to Hezbollah their sense of nationhood, to the legitimate Lebanese army.

I don't folow your analogy at all, but yes, it is possible to support the roops and not the war. I support people who put themselves in harm's way for their country, but I don't support an illeagal, immoral war. Just because they are in the military is no reason they should have to do immoral things. Why should we support the war? almost any war?

No its not Andy...its like saying... you were sent to fight for Corporate interests and I hope that you get out of there alive...unlike my nephew who was killed shortly after Bush,s "bring em on" statement..this was a war of choice by Bush that in no way enhanced our security against a Sovereign Nation that did not pose a credible threat.

Only in USA. They don't like Bush, but they support him. They hate him, but they reelect him. They don't support war, but they support troops...Crazy.
