No since John F Kennedy received votes from more than 100,000 dead people in the 1960 election. Funny how the liberals forget that little diddy.

Of course your vote will matter. Local authorities control the voting, voting machines and vote counting.
Remember the scenes from Florida during the vote recount in 2000?
Right now it looks like only two companies are able to provide the electronic voting machines. I'm sure other companies will look to expand into that market in the future.
Some electronic voting machines provide paper reciepts of your vote - so you can have a paper record of your vote (that was never an option will pull lever, or punch card machines).
If your locality/state doesn't require that - talk to your local state legislator, express your concern, ask them to sponsor legislation to require vendors of voting machines to produce a paper reciept.
Above all else - if you're concerned about voting, and votes being counted, run for elected office - an office that deals with voting in your state. Become a poll worker, volunteer to be a poll watcher for a campaign or one of the political parties, to watch for voting irregularities.
We have far too many people who sit back and just complain and don't do anything about it. You don't like the way things are going - GET INVOLVED!!!

Your just another liberal whining about the fact that you lost the election. I do not think that Bush stole the election. We use the electoral college here in the USA and not strictly a popular vote for president. If you have a problem with that, why don't you complain to Thomas Jefferson and others who designed this system over 230 years ago.
They did it this way for a reason. So that one large population center (NY, CA, IL) cannot control the result of an election over the will of people in other states. A candidate must win a majority of the electoral votes. The electoral college also controls how may people in the house of representatives that your state has. The move votes, the bigger the number of members in congress. Here is a map of what Bush won in the 2000 and 2006 presidental election http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2004/countymap.htm
As you can see, Bush clearly kicked Al Gore's and John Kerry's back side. Gore and Kerry only won the large population centers in the USA that tend to vote liberal. So you need to win more than these states and New England to be president.
You are just one of those Conspiracy theorist who believe that these companies purposly stole the election for Bush. Quit whinning about it. We are all tired of hearing you and the drive by media trying to find fault with our election system. If you don't like it, there is the door and don't let it hit you in the butt on the way out! I hear Russia is a pretty nice place for liberals to move to.

Bush, Kerry, Clinton, Cheney are all lifetime members of the Skull and Bone society, the lodge 322 of the Bavarian Illuminati. Whetever who win, they win, our vote don't matter. But if we are aware, and we don't let those types of behaviors occurs, our vote could matter. But now, whetever who win, they win.

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

In my county we use a paper ballot which is then scanned into the system. In this manner we have rapid initial collection of the vote and still retain paper ballot backup for the official vote canvas.
However, the best method of ensuring a correct vote of the people is to have citizen participation in the process at the precinct level. Anyone can volunteer to work at the precinct.

I'm not sure it ever did ... I know it wouldn't with Bushie. Based on the number of votes, Bushie lost. Of course, the us government never did care about America (or Americans), so they just ignore what people voted, and made Bushie the pres.
Of course, real Americans don't vote.
Iraquies do.
ok, now that I've actually looked at the web site you linked ....
"1 in 5 Americans believe the elections were fraudulent."
Wow .... 80% of Americans are *that* gullible ?!?
Anybody want to buy a bridge?

a true democracy is one man one vote...once the americans realize that the electoral college makes a mockery of this basic facet of democracy we will keep creating this nightmarish scenario of presidential candidates getting more votes and still losing the election...then and only then will votes really matter
