I can tell you what you would have to do in order to be able to fly unassisted, as superman does. It has to do with the overall frequency of your body mass. The following is the reason:
E = hf, is that for electromagnetic energy.
mk = hf, is the concept for kinetic energy (which form of energy movement you are interested in). This form of energy contained within mass is subject to the same laws as is the first. This means as a mass moves, there is an increase of frequency in the direction of travel. This additional frequency comes at the expense of energy at right angles to movement - hf. So, what you need to do is control the frequency of your body mass in a single direction. If you can do this you will be able to move without any form of assistance. If you do this within a carpet, you shall have a flying carpet. Good luck.
