My girlfriend parents enclose her in home from last 5 months. They disconnect all communication method from her. They are in Etah, U.P. , I am in delhi. They threaten her that if she done anything against them, then they will Kill my family. please suggets me any powerful & succesful method which will make possible our marriage without any dispute or fight. This question again is in regards to the cultural differences between the US and another country. In the US this is not tolerated........threats etc....but in 3rd world countries.....this kind of behavior, abuses, etc. is looked on like an everyday occurance and no punishments are ever inflicted.
I would suggest you leave it alone. Unless you want people in your family to turn up headless!!! (trust me...those people over there have no regard for human life)
Why is it her parents are doing this? Was your friend in an arranged marriage ???? You really need to think about all these things before you go against her powerful family.

Are you both of marriageable age legally? If yes, will she stand with you or withdraw under pressure? If yes, then talk to your lawyer and file an FIR for illegal confinement of the girl. Also report the threat they have given to your family. They will come through. But it will be struggle.

looks like they take tradition seriously...i dont know what the law says but where i come from u can sue them...just run away, save up enough money n elop. if they kill ur family (which they wudnt), they go to life imprisonment which wud be a plus 4 u.

If both of you love each other truly and both are of marriageable age & if you are earning & capable of taking care of her then go ahead. take the help from police. nothing can stop you. You should only have guts!

hun i dont know what to tell u since here in the U.S. threatening to kill someones family is a crime and not tolerated.. and i dont know what the ways of your countries are.. but if u love each other, nothing and no one should stop you from being together..
