go to www.signstation.co.uk They have a brilliant online dictionary of British Sign Language - all film clips. You have to register, but it's free. they also have mini classes online to learn basic sign language, useful for the workplace or at school.
Sign Language is fun! It's useful even for hearing folk.

Sign language differs from country to country, if the person is from the UK they would probably use British Sign Language.
