My good Filipina friend wants to move here to Hawaii & said a visa is hard to get in the Philippines. But how do you get a visa to get into the US, without having work or property in the US? Can anyone help me with this? My friend really wants to move here to Hawaii. Is there an easier way to get a visa?

It is really hard to get a Visa nowadays in the Philippines....the hardest is the Tourist Visa - you need to have MONEY and properties to get one.

You can also try for working Visa, if you are qualified.

Or if you are a citizen, then petition her as your fiance. I think that is faster that marrying her first.

Well aaron. it is really hard to get visa in the Philippines. Aside from the money you have to spent..there are lots of processes like interviews and the long line is really terrible. Everyday..hundreds of Filipinos are applying for this. And lately the US embassy got a more strict policy. Well..your friend can work it out. I can't think of any easier way (that is not illegal) to get a visa.Unless..she has a job there (her employer can sponsor her) or a fiancee visa (well..you have to request for it). Hope this helps. God bless!

she needs to apply for a visitors visa. it might be hard to get due to the fact that there are a lot of filipinos who got this kind of visa and never return to the philippines.

Qualification:
Applicants for visitor visas must show that they qualify under provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The presumption in the law is that every visitor visa applicant is an intending immigrant. Therefore, applicants for visitor visas must overcome this presumption by demonstrating that:

- The purpose of their trip is to enter the U.S. for business, pleasure, or medical treatment;
- They plan to remain for a specific, limited period; and
- They have a residence outside the U.S. as well as other binding ties which will insure their return abroad at the end of the visit.

First off,

What kind of Visa?

I'm assuming Immigrant/Non-Immigrant Visa.

Someone told me that you had to have PHP500,000 combined on your checking and savings in order to obtain a Non-Imm. Visa.

She also needs a Business or something. That way, she can apply for the Business Visa (B-1).

Of course, she already has a passport, right?

Then, she just has to go to the Consulate place or whatever and go to the Non-Imm section and stuff.

IDK much, but that's pretty much what I've heard.

u need a passport.
he needs a petitioner or something like you or anyone from there but u don't have to..
he'll need some papers like birth certificate and immunization record or something or medical records like injections(hepatitis etc.)..he can work a tourist visa by mail(like what my couz did) i think but they will need to interview him at the embassy(they'll give him the date).if he has a petitioner,he'll need a picture of him or with him, that is what they asked from me before but we did not have it...sometimes people wait the whole day to fall in line infront of the embassy so tell your friend if he has a scheduled interview just thell the personnel or the sec.guard about it and he'll let him in..

he will also need a CERTIFICATE TO TRAVEL!.my uncle got delayed for 1 or more weeks coz he did not have one..he also needs a plane ticket..

the part that he'll hate the most is waiting in the embassy..

I think being blown up by a terrorist is easier than getting a US visa these days. Good thing I got mine already, and Ive only used it once!

you have to show that you have a strong bond with your home country. that the desire for you to go back to your home country far outweighs the chances of you staying in america indefinitely. be honest in answering all things that they ask whether in the application form or in the personal interview. pray a lot and good luck.
