I would suggest an HP...I just bought an HP myself...its great so far!!!!! I've also worked with my friends HP laptop...its really fast and very reliable...nothing bad ever happened to it...also HP has great customer service so if...IF something does ever happen...then it'll be easy to get it resolved...for entertainment...they come with the quickplay for DVD's and music...and if you get the one with lightscribe technology...it would be nice to put pictures on CD's or DVD's you burn...get the HP laptop...its a great all around computer!!!!!

ONly one answer.

Lenova.
It is our old IBM, and a chineese copany took over the Laptop business of IBM, and they are one of the most kool laptops now available.

Quality, And toughness in good price, thatis lenova.

As notebook components keep improving, today's powerful laptops can go keyboard to keyboard with many full-size desktops. This may be good news for buyers, but it complicates the selection process.

Sure, you want bleeding-edge technology, but what about price? How big a screen can you get without giving up on portability? What types of ports do you need, and how many are enough? And what about RAM?

These are just some of the questions you'll need to answer before you start shopping. To help, we've assembled this buyer's guide of things you need to consider when choosing a mobile PC.

You may want to avoid Dell from what that article says.
Mac gets good reviews and I have an HP zv6130us and I like it.
HP has lightscribe DVD burners. Be sure you order it that way if you want DVD labels that look factory made.

speed, ram, space, dvd-readable drive, light in weight. i think that fujitsu is pretty good(dunno if it's available where you live). don't buy sony ones, i've heard they spoil easily.
