It's because the storylines are original and great and comforting, the drawings are beautiful and the anime guys and girls are cute.

i think it's because of the way the manga-ka created the characters. they all have certain personalities and looks. The story is also really interesting and not common. I love fruits basket so much.

Yeah i know what u mean! i read each vol. like 5 times... lol! probably would have read it some more but i think near the end it drags a little.... but it's still adorable! And it treachs us a whole lot with their awesome kick butt quotes!

Because it's a complex anime from several points of view: it has good artwork, good animation, a strong plot, types of characters that people can identify with etc. I guess the manga isn't too far from these characteristics.

The manga is SSSSSSOOOOOOOOO Cute and cool! The storyline is great and I LOVE IT!
BTW, Hatori is my favourite cos he's the dragon like me and he is so handsome "Swoon" ^-^ I like kyo, yuki, momoij, shigurie,hatru and torhu honda and her friends (can't spell their names.)

Because it is a very nice and unique story and kyokun is so hot! (hehe..)....you should watch it...it's better...you can find episodes with subs on youtube...
