I do not see a real risk to others if you are a responsible owner. They are very special animals, very loving and close companions.

this is a gimmick... there is nothing wrong with owning domestic dogs so why some people feel a need to own one with wolf breeding is for EGO purposes only - these are people with low self esteme who think they need a "cool" pet to make themself "cool"

really most of the dog world sees them for what they are... shallow people who own a wolf hybid...which is technically an over priced mutt

I don't really see a problem with owning them if you are responsible. I just don't like to see the breeders profiting from it. The more popular the crosses are, the more of them will be bred. You just know lots of them will go to people who are ill-equipped for dealing with a wolf mix.

I had a wolf mix....dumbest canine I've ever owned. I'm not a fan, but then there are several dog breeds I'm not a fan of.

I think you should have to take out a HUGE liability policy to cover any potential injury, but after that....

I think NO you shouldn't mix a wolf with a dog. You would have a dog that would be more likely to hurt kids and other animals like sheep, calf and native animals.

No -- wolves belong in the wild and should not be mixbred. They are unpredictable and should only be handled by very experienced professionals.

I've also read about various misadventures, because of character clashes between the two sides. I would not recommend them, in my eyes they are not reliable.
