It is a honorable profession that saves lives and help people.

I have had many male nurses take care of me when I was in the hospital. I prefer men as nurses any day. I am female and I would rather have a man take my vitals and other things nurses are to do than have a woman. Especially, when you are on bed rest and you have to wash with one of those little pans. I always refused women to wash me in bed. But, when a male nurse comes in, yeah they can wash me anytime.
They aren't gay just because they chose the profession of being a nurse. Easy work and easy pay, nothing wrong with that.

I don't see why men shouldn't be nurses. Women can do the same jobs as men and men can do the same jobs as women.
I think it's actually cool when guys go ahead and become nurses if that's what they really want instead of being afraid of being teased about doing a "girlie" job and that way letting society scare them away from the career they desire.
My respect goes to them brave men. :)

no I have no problem with that - it is sexist to say that nursing is made for females... We are living in the 21 century - gender is not suppose to matter in our occupations ! These days we do get females preferring to work as truck drivers and constructors. And males choosing nursing or primary school teaching as a profession... I say go for it guys - be whatever you want to be !

Helping to save lives, a bachelors degree, and a career that pays extremely well. I'm not a nurse but it sound kind of cool to me. Oh yeah, that's right, I'm a doctor and a woman, does anybody question my qualifications because of my gender?

I know a guy who works as an ICU nurse. If you knew him you wouldnt say that, but that would take a little research on your part.
