Tell her that you watched the Da Vinci code and you thought that it was insulting to religion and you think that as a teacher, she shouldn't be recommending that type of book to you.

Unfortunetely, you cannot change your classmates or teachers, but just thrive on being top of the class. Keep your head down and study and you will be fine. I think your English is very good and well done on learning it, it is very difficult but oyu are getting there. Please don't give up on your English course, or any for that matter, you will always find, wherever you are, even when you begin to work, a really insulting and horrible person, you just have to deal with it.

It seems odd to me that The Da Vinci Code would be mandatory reading for junior high. If it is not so simply tell your teacher you are not interested in the book. I read it and found it "thought provoking" but its been a while since I was in junior high.

perhaps your teacher only wants to make you learn English in an attractive way. reading novels is a good way to improve a language ... you are determined to search unknown words in a dictionary, you'll find many idioms and it's not as boring as a stupid little text for foreigners.
as for your classmates, try and be more understanding, it's not their fault they don't know the language, ask your teacher to give you more homework if you think that will help you.

You are not smart enough to read a certain book, but you dislike people from an other background language who make spelling errors in English!? You parents make obviously a very wrong investment with your school, you have just not enough brain!

Look, when you feel that other people actually look down on you, you should be motivated to prove to them that you CAN do it. So, just strive to be the best in the class and then hopefully your teacher will begin to appreciate your effort (if she hadn't) and like you. About your classmates, what you can do is to help them to improve their academic. Maybe you can help them and in return they can help you in some aspects. Remember, everyone can be changed, from less smart to very smart. Just do your best. Good luck.

holy cow, you are in a really hard situation. If you complain to your teacher, she'll hate you, the only thing you can do is keep on being nice to her. If your teacher was not an asian its a different story, you can complain and things would be better, but an asian teacher, icaraaambaaa, it happened to me once and i complaint, my life was a miserable hell for about 7 months...she really didnt leave me.

It isn't necessary for you to like the boys or the teacher to learn. Why don't you ask your teacher why she gave you the book? Maybe she feels you would like to try to understand it?

You're there to learn. Do so and move on.

try to accept the others in your class as other people who are ther just like you too learn.
maybe too you they are stupid --but to them you may seem stupid too.
and maybe your teacher gave you that book because she thinks your smart enough to learn to read it and giving you the chance to prove to the others how smart you are.
most imporatantly make the best of what you learn from the others and your teacher - because its up to you to learn things it's only your teachers responsibility to show you what to learn and ways to learn --the rest is up to you
