when i was like 8 or so, i remember a guy giving me chocolates, i didnt want the chocolates (from him), but everyone in my bus would put it inside my backpack (without me knowing), i didnt like boys back then...yesterday, my parents and my bro were teasing me about it, and my parents were like talking about what the guy's mom used to say...that I was the only reason he goes to school, he goes to school just to see me(!), but then my family and i moved to a different country and i lost contact with him...now 5 yrs later i wonder, was he in love or was it just a major crush?

no, an 8 year old cannot "fall in love". neither can anyone else.
no one can "fall" in love.
love is a decision to make a lifetime commitment. it is not infatuation nor is it lust.

About falling in love at the age of 18, is more like sexuall attraction for a kiss, a smile, beauty or somthing like that.
a matured couple can dare to show they are in love, that s why people think and feel Falling in Love will happen when you are grown up enough...but this is not true in fact.
The true love happend and the purest one happend always when your spirite and everything is A Virgin.
Children are still angels...they can t feel like grown up people about love but they show their love with giving choclate to each other because this is the most important thing of their life and when a child give his choclate or toy to a girl, this means to him that the best thing of his life is giving away to another girl.
and I tell you because I loved two boys at the age of 8 that I have never forgotten them...Jefry and Jorven.
Especially Jefry...he was as old as me and so kind and nice to me...he was the first boy of the first grade of my elementry school that I met, and I liked him ...even when I had left that school after one year and met him in another school, I still felt somthing for him. but I remeber once when our two school were going to the swimming pool, on the way back to school I saw him in the bus talking and laughing with other children and suddenly he saw me out of the buss looking at him, he stopped and stared at me ,this was the time our eyes met at the age of 13...and the bus got away....This was the last time I met Jefry but I still remember him however I am 23 now.
I have a boyfriend now and he is my first boyfriend...but even all grown ups can t forget their childhood memories...and when you liked someone in the childhood, he will always stay on your mind.

it was a major crush. you don't know what love is let alone act upon it at age 8. hell, you can't even do multiplication right at age 8. it was just a crush.

love doesn't have age age boundaries.u can fall in love when u r at 5, 15 or 50.maybe he was really in love.even if it was amajor crush cheer up he loved you
