I'm starting college next week and I'm a little bit nervous.

Just remember there are like a million people doing the exact same thing as you. Everyone is nervous and in the same shoes as you. Its like starting your freshmen year of highschool. Do you remember how nervous you were when you were going to be a freshmen in highschool? After you started going you realized its not that different from middleschool. College is the same way but you have a lot more freedom. You are free from you parents, you are an adult. It should be exciting.

Keep things in perspective. It'll be strange and scary at first. You'll miss your family, your room, your friends, and most of all, being able to do laundry without quarters. You may not know what to expect from your classes and the plethora of extracurricular activities may seem overwhelming. Just take things one step at a time though. Your entire college life probably won't fall into place in the first week, but that's part of what makes the collegiate experience so great - the excitement of figuring things out about yourself and about the world around you as you trudge steadily towards graduation. Good luck, study hard, and don't forget to have some fun.

I'm starting October 3rd. and nervous too. Try going to the college for an hour or so a day, just to get used to walking around and finding where things are. It really helps to know where you're going and which buildings classes are in. Try to get as much sleep as possible, and this might sound silly but don't forget to bring food - being hungry makes it worse. Good luck :-)

those thoughts by no skill could be thoroughly disregarded coz howdy they ensue to u no count the place u r. this is definitely a state of thoughts that u are in questioning bout day after today and it being this way of special occasion 4 u esp because of the fact u have been out of touch from this scene for quite some time - my suggestion the week previously or perhaps the day previously u're special occasion do some thing to maintain u busy organise a occasion or bypass hiking, do some thing completely wacky that makes u overlook that u're waiting for sumthing great the nxt day. or bypass out on u're very own and do some thing u've by no skill completed b4. additionally eliminate it from u're thoughts that each physique is sizing u up so in basic terms be u're self n celebrate with have exciting

Enjoy it because you will never quite feel this same feeling of excitement again, for the rest of your life.

Also, understand that every freshman is going through the exact same thing as you, just look at them, you'll see it. There is comfort in knowing that you're normal.

You could always watch Animal House and Old School.

It's normal to be apprehensive when you are entering into a new situation. Just remember that thousands of other young adults around the world are doing just what you are doing.

The best way is to go to classes. Just do it. And stop drinking all that caffeine. You will be fine. Trust me.
