I did not cry when my son started school. I was excited not sad. That was going to be his first step to really growing up.
But let me tell you this My son is now 13 and I cry every year on the last day of school, because I know I will be driven crazy all summer, then I rejoice when he goes back.
OK j/k but he really does drive me crazy during the summer even tho I love him with all my heart.

I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. MOST PARENTS USUALLY SHED SOME TEARS BECAUSE THEY REALIZE THAT THEIR LITTLE ONES AREN'T SO LITTLE ANYMORE AND THEY ARE USUALLY TH E PARENT THAT KEPT THE CHILDREN HOME INSTEAD OF SENDING THEM TO PRE-SCHOOL. MY MOTHER MADE A COMMENT TO ME WHEN I TOOK MINE TO KINDERGARTEN: WELL, THEY AREN'T YOURS ANY LONGER". THERE'S ALOT TO BE SAID ABOUT THAT QUOTE. GOOD LUCK.
