My old gran (in her late 80's, bless her) has knitted me a light blue tank top and she's coming round her Sunday dinner. Do I wear the hideous garment or will she notice (shes losing her marbles);

Hmm...I think you could merge both topics into Sunday dinners conversation....tell her that you was practising sodomy with it, but you can no longer get a handhold, and she'll have to wait until you visit the clinic the next day.

I say wear it for when she arrives and then say you are too hot/don't want to spill your dinner down it and remove it. That way, everyone is happy!
