Philippines is a very promising country, being a Christian nation in Asia. The country just need a very strong leader with determination to bring the country up. If Philippines can only have leader like Parks of South Korea, Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore or Mahatir of Malaysia, Philippines can go a long way out of economic blunder. The Philippines way of communication is very impressive compare to their neighboring countries, there are abundance of Filipino talents around the world. It is only the leadership I would say needs to be strengten, because everything rise and fall in leadership.

The Philippines is always odd man out as it is compared to her neighbors. First, people here are very fluent in English as compared to the other Asian countries. They value education and morality. It is the only Christian country in Asia. People here are more beautiful and handsome as compared to the others due to the fact that the race here was influenced by the European features. However it has some ridiculous characters. The best economics school in southeast asia is here, the UP-School of Econ. but ironically its economy still under development. The best business school in south east asia is here, Asian Insitute of Management but business still doesn't find itself to be stable. But the best thing that you could expect here in the Philippines is people who are exceptionally talented.

Like all countries, there are good and bad things. The bad: excessive amount of corrupt politicians; prone to natural disasters; haven for terrorists (southern area); overpopulation. The good: has been a democracy for 30 years (after the overthrow of the vile Marcoses); extremely friendly and hospitable people; some of the most beautiful beaches, mountains, and land in the world; active part of the world community.

It's a nice tropical country with hospitable people loaded with bad leaders and politicians accompanied by corrupt public officials. Need I say more?
