As said earlier, be consistent and always tell the truth. Also, if her straightforwardness and short temper is cutting, let her know she is hurting your feelings. Stand up for yourself. I bet that's it. She wants you to be stronger and stand up for yourself to her. Don't yell, just be firm.

When you say you are going to do something, always keep your word. In time she will see your consistency and know she can trust on your word, that your word is good. Treat her kindly and apologize when you are wrong. Express to her your desire for her to believe in you. Don't give up.
