Is there anyone else who loathes 80s style and is upset it seems to be coming back?

The 80's style is repulsive. I am getting a lot of fall catalogs in the mail and it looks like Flashdance exploded inside. I hate it, absolutely hate it!

Fashion is cyclical. 7-8 years it was 70's horrifying huge bell-buttoms. not my generation also the colors best summed up by a dominant brand--Mudd. Avacado, burnt orange, dirt brown, yet another burnt sienna, banana yellow, but notyet the low riders, cute on those that could pull it off--not me, did not wear those bell-buttoms in the 70's , damn sure not the late 90's /early 2000's.. Yeah my generation was the 80's, do i want to see the exteremes come back--hell no. but that girls should loook sexy, not like burlap sacks , all for it . Watch that 70-s show, then check out Purple Rain (Prince movie ) height of 80-s style, early madonna at least we looked feminine. Don't blame that girl 80's Big Girl Hair or that Bon Vovi Streaked Mullets on the 80's, it was regional. The South stood aloof. Take the best from each generation, but truelly the height of the 70's (post White Album) was UGLY. Think Yoko Ono and un washed unshaved hippies. But i'm (and you will be too, always nostalic for what was your youth. Anyway i partied at the "purple rain" clubs, but Metllica broke in 1984 and Metal hit and never left: Black leather bustiers, fishnet stockings, stilleto heels , tight mini-skirts, not hooker, hot and tough and definately making out with hotmale guitarists, no chicks. Sorry that's this generations problem . Does Ellen deGeneras look good??or even lipstick lesbians???Why,, either you like?lick D*** or you don't. Just thank fully do not even want to understand it--not against, just like the 70's, don't wnat to bathe, shave look good? Not my problem. And if all are well and happy goood. But for all those against the moderate 80'swhat is the alternative look like a 70's extreme smelly hippy, or the present girls getting dressed up, dolled up for other chicks, you both are missing something. mThe 80's might have went too far materialistcally but $15000 emannuel ungaro prom dresses, blow, Giorgio Armani tuxs and white stretch limo's and going to a hotel with the opposite sex, not too bad.. well in 1986 it was nothing to regret. So fashion yeah bling, was our riche, nothing new there, ecxept no hippies and lots of girls that like girls now. Whatever, to each his own.

I think it's irritating too... Horizontal stripes, leggings under skirts, big round beaded necklaces... Some of it can be cute but I hate clothes shopping now because everything looks like cheap 80's stuff. And horizontal stripes only look cute on 12 year olds that weigh 97 lbs.

all the styles have a way of coming back if you pay attention. its a circle they try to enhance as well as music. but give the styles different names. take for instance gouchos, and peddle pushers they called them capris. all fashions return.. just think what if the crayon shoes come back. oops i think they are. so are or have adidas, and the elevator high heel shoes and boots. the dr schols, clogs, designs have went to a certain century then repeated. just hope cross colors dont find their way in. lacost has

i don't hate 80's, i just don't get the 80's. you notice that they are bringing back alot of different decades. you know what they need to bring back? the 1920's and 30's! love that big band jazz and swing!

Yea, I remember it...I can't believe it's coming back. Just wait until the double layered socks (2 colors) come back. OMG!!! Reminds me of my childhood!
