I almost wrote an essay on that once. You do this. YOu play both sides without giving your opinion till the very end. Make a T-chart pros and cons and write everything that comes to mind. If nothing, go online people believe that euthanasia is putting people out of their misery. Other people believe that it's killing precious human souls. Write it on that and keep it very interesting. ATtention getter at the beginning and your sources and works cited at the end. Whatever you decide keep it to the point and have good transitions have an academic friend look it over afterwords for spelling, punctuation.

I would write (and I have) that even though it's a very hard decision to make, I don't think anyone wants to see a loved one suffer. If we have the means and the patient is terminal and in pain and wants to die with dignity, why not? I mean you would have to be terminally ill, but with no chance for recovery, being out of it because of the drugs they're pumping into you so you wouldn't feel pain, why not put people out of their misery?
At least with euthanasia, you can say goodbye to your friends and family and die on your own terms.
At least thats how I feel about it...

My opinion is NO. Others can never judge whether a person should live or die. And as far as judgement by the concerned person, we always make a bad judgement when under pain/presssures. So a decision taken to end your life in that circumstance is more often a wrong one. So I do not believe in Euthanasia -Self/assisted.

Hm...It is indeed not easy to write about such things. So many pros and cons...So many different life stories...
Hate writing about such social issues. you don't want to offend anyone but it's hard to manage to do this way. When I had to write an essay on same sex marriage, I ordered an essay from http://www.superiorpapers.com they did it in a way tolerant way and it sounded very tolerant from either viewpoint.

go to http://www.criticalpoet.com/mediawiki/index.php/Euthanasia_essay - it provides with a description of what euthanasia essay is.

you should just write about your personal opinion.....you could write a very emotionally charged paper when describing how you feel about a particular subject.

most people describe the pros and cons.....but my daughter got a very high grade when writing from a singular point of view....

but........

if you're looking for someone to " give " you YOUR opinion, because you couldn't care less either way, I would suggest something along the lines of :

no one person should have the right to tell another person, what they can.....and cannot do.......with their own bodies....
