The reasons it is illegal is complete corporate hoax. It is one of the most versatile sources of chemical compounds on the planet. The fiber makes for longer lasting paper and/or clothing.
Compare the number of deaths in the U.S. per year for tobacco products, alcohol, and marijuana... and tell me which one is the true danger to society.
You don't read an awful lot about the high rate of lung cancer in Jamaicans do you?
How often do you hear about someone beating their wife after smoking pot?
Ever hear of a bar fight? Ok, well go to amsterdam and ask them about ANY fights in coffee shops (well, fights that DON'T involve drunks.)
Hmmmmm... but it is an illegal and 'nasty' drug!
I'd prefer something natural to Zoloft, Prozac, Valium, etc, etc, etc... but Galaxo Smith Klein and Pfizer are such HUGE political contributors that those in power would much rather keep something that can be grown n one's backyard ILLEGAL. (HA!)
Considering the hippie generation is greying more day by day... you don't hear any major long lasting effects of their usage, do you?
Anyone that has an issue with it, typically buys into the hype and the lies, and has no actually knowledge.

LEGALIZE it... let the tobacco farmers make money on a crop that does not kill.
TAX it so that the money spent on it does not go into the hands of criminals on the street... give it to the criminals on Capitol Hill that hopefully will build roads.
-On a somewhat serious note... if you legalize and tax ALL drugs, you can then afford to build and maintain treatment facilities for people that want to quit, but need some help.
Many people can drink a beer and have no problem... some people have one and cannot stop. Would it not be compassionate to take the money from alcohol taxes and build facilities to help the problem drinkers dry out?

Make it legal, if someone likes a joint or a bowl, they should be able to. Same with having a couple of cocktails. but forget about driving while doing either. I believe in being free to enjoy life, just don't preach to me when I light a cigarette.

I love it. It relaxes, makes me have good conversations and great sex.
It might not be the best for your lungs, but cigarettes and alcohol are worse for your body, and are addictive as hell. I know because I used to smoke cigarettes for a lot of years.

i use it a few times a week . there is nothing bad about it in my opinion alchohol is far worse.
i'm more creative with my artwork when im stoned.

Nothing good can come from using it. Kills brain cells. One's life must really suck to need a drug to feel good.
