Most Americans don't save anything. They are in debt, except for any residual equity in their homes, and their 401(k)'s and IRA's if they have been thrifty.

Most of America's wealth is now held (to the extent it's not held in the above) by the richest 5% of the population. I don't think very many of those can be described as "liberal". Except that "liberal" is not a factual description but an epithet used by the Right to describe those they don't agree with and don't much like.

Where have I heard that "every liberal is a secret commie"?
