You should try all types. I use covergirl foundation and pressed powder. To make sure that it will look natural take your pinky finger and place it on the top of the opening and take a small dab, rub it onto the inside of you wrist. This will help you to see if the color matches because the inside of your wrist and and your face are similar. You do not have to put foundation everywhere. By placeing it only on problems areas like your T-zone and evenly spreading you are allowing your skin to look natural and not all made up. Try diffenent eyes shades that you like, but stay away from bright colors like blue or green. If you want to use those colors use the darker shades thse will give you a nicer look.

Mac have a excellent range of colours, and since you are a teenager, you can carry off the extended range of colours they have. Also check out Shu Uemura, who make varied skin colours and carry natural but long lasting colours. In terms of having darker skin - most of the time you will need two shades of foundation, as women with darker skin tend to have a darker "halo" of skin around the edges of the face. What happens a lot, esp on someone like Oprah, is that they will apply a lighter shade to the rim of your face to lift it.
Also, although you like naturals, try something with some metallic or shimmer (Shu Uemura ME SILVER is a classic shimmer neutral) as dark skins can really really carry it off.

I use MAC products and have always been impressed. They cost a little more than the drugstore brands but they are long lasting and have lots of colors and choices. Also, if you go to a MAC counter, they will tell you what color you need and even make you up so you see what colors look best on you. So far I have used their foundation, eye shadow, and lipgloss and have been very happy with it. Good luck!

A lot of places have free make-up services. This might be an option. Have your face done, then find simular products, in your price range.
