1. Death penalty does'nt stop criminals from doing heinous
crimes.
2. We are not suppose to judge who will die or not.
3. Only GOD can take the life that he had given.
4. What about those who were wrongfully convicted? It's not just
fair, especially that there are so many hoodlums in robes.

I don't. I believe we should stop the useless time dragging "appeals" process. If the evidence convicting them is THAT clear and strong, then they have 90 days to appeal. Lose THAT appeal, you die 24 hours later. That's it.
If every state carries out death sentences twice or so a week, that WILL begin to send the message out: "Do the crime, you won't live a long time".
And I don't have a problem w/ public death penalty executions, either.

I think it should be because I think it's disproportionate. I also think that the lawyers on both sides aren't that interested in the truth. The prosecution just wants to convict someone because it looks bad on them when a case goes unsolved. I also think that they don't want to know the truth when there is evidence that could prove the innocence of someone, but they won't allow it. There's a case going on here where all they have to do is a simple DNA test....that wasn't available at the time of the crime because it was 20 years ago....but they won't do it. This man is on death row and might actually be innocent, but they won't do something that could prove once and for all. It's going to be too late to find out the truth when he's dead.

I don't. And the majority of Americans feel the same way as me. But I think perhaps it should be only for people who commit murder against strangers; because when murder happens between two people who know each other, there are always two sides to the story. And thus there may be mitigating circumstances unknown to us. But for heinous crimes of murder or torture, proven beyond doubt, there should be no reprieve, no appeals, just drop em dead on the spot, right in the courtroom. And throw in a a little torture of our own, say 10 days worth, and then kill them, slowly and as painfully as possible.

hai everybody, if! death penalty is to be enforced, each and everybody in this world are entitled for it. just because some of the crime has been proved tangibly doesn’t mean that other things done are not a criminals and that they should'nt be punished. i certainly disapprove. No human in this world deserves such thing. Even its going to be a serious killer or psycho(eg. movie pscho). Biggest problem that human being face in this world is imbalanced EQ. If emotional intelligence of a person is getting imbalanced they tend to find the solution to solve it by correcting the mistakes that is happening with them. But the problem is that there is nothing to be corrected in them which is being the major problem. Since they don’t find good solution for the non existing problem they tend to do stuffs that is going to give pleasure which can compensate their pain caused by the imbalanced. Due to this, wrong ideas are generated in the mind and finally leading to miss lead behavior or habit. Finally ending up in crime.
Each and every human being loves to live perfect life. But they don’t get what they want. Take for example a baby. If u leave a baby un touched and just provided with milk and not body is there to tap its back to encourage him. With in 2 days the baby will die. As what is said in psychology. So when they don’t find the right thing which is needed by them, they tend to do unconscious thing to get it. Each and every human being in this world love to be loved. They like others to show love towards them. Children expecting the parents to love them. Even the great Hitler wanted to be loved which can be seen from his book namely, mein kampf and his autobiography.
If u see the meaning of punishment in wikipedia namely, "Punishment is the practice of imposing something unpleasant on a subject as a response to some unwanted behavior or disobedience that the subject has displayed." From this meaning u can see that they are being though to behave properly when they are doing a mistake which they don’t realize. They know that they are doing something wrong but they are not able to constrain their selves from it. So they need the help from others. Each and everybody is molded by the situation that they are living. Environment that they are living plays a major role in their life. As what said no body is born perfect but made. some Behavior is characterized by experience. Normally positive experience yields to good behavior and the vise verse. Crime is committed because of these imbalance in life. For that they don’t deserve such a punishment.

It's not cost effective. By the time the gave Ted Bundy the chair, they had spent about 7 million $ on legal fees. That's more than enough to keep him locked up for a couple of centuries.

I'm not necessarily against it but it should be administered more humanely. We have methods to carry out the death penalty that cause absolutely no pain, like cyanide tablets. Yet we still use electrocution, gas and injection.

Just like any other human, human makes mistakes, we dont want to hang, shoot or even inject with leathel poison to an innocent person. Death penalty should be stopped to protect innocent lives, life time imprisonment is pretty fair.

Stop the death penalty... I don't think so... If a person has killed someone and it has been proved without a doubt then it should be a life for a life....
